A cultivation model governed by the respect and full consideration to the environment.
At Atlantia we produce all our products using Aloe vera as raw material which has been organically grown in the Canaries. Due to the climate of the Canaries it ensures that the plant grows in an optimal environment and that it naturally contains a high amount of active ingredients and minerals. Which is why we can say that our Aloe is “ecologically grown” one hundred percent organic: it is not transgenic and in it’s cultivation process artificial fertilisers, pesticides or fungicides have not been used.
CRAE (Equivalent of the regulatory committee on organic production)
The legislation that regulates organic production in Europe is the EEC Regulation 2092/91. This regulation covers production, processing and marketing of organic products. In Spain in particular, the body that has such powers is CRAE (equivalent of the Regulatory Committee on Organic Production), under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This body is primarily responsible for advising, being the forum in the sector between consumers, Central Administration and Autonomous Regions.
In reference to market control, each Autonomous Region has its Council or Regulatory Committee in charge of direct control over production and ecological certification. The Regulatory Council of each region is the one that subjects companies to inspection and takes samples of each phase of the product. It’s also who finally gives the label of eco cultivated Aloe vera, as is in our case.
This year at Atlantia we have again renewed our CRAE certification (Eco Cultivated) for the Aloe Juice we use, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water of the Canary Government, so that our products continue to display the organic product label corresponding to this type of regulatory cultivation of our region.
On our website you can find many features that attribute a higher level of quality to all our products, made with the purest Aloe vera of the Canary Islands. In addition, our Research and Development Department is constantly working on creating new and improved products.
